Aura Lash + Beauty
Marissa of Aura Lash + Beauty knew exactly what she wanted when we started talking design components which made finding what she wanted easy. She was confident and already had an image of how she envisioned the space she rents the first time we spoke about her project.
We started throwing ideas back and forth at the very end of January and by March she had completed her entire space! Talk about hard working, dedicated and determined. She decided before she had even come to me that she wanted a Scandinavian vibe with lots of whites and neutrals along with pops of gold and black. She was spot on with the feel she was trying to give her space. It is homey and cozy, yet clean and elegant. It is the PERFECT space to relax and get pampered and I could not be more excited to share it with you all!
This is what we started with:
Before we got started
Before we got started
Naturally, the first place I went was Pinterest. In all seriousness, I like to type in all the key words my client has requested and pin them together to a board to get a clear picture of the exact look they are going for. I then present some different basics like rugs, wood finish and decor pieces to see if I’m going in the right direction or need to start fresh. When I’m making the Pinterest board or mood board, I don’t necessarily want to use ideas directly from what I see. I am trying to accomplish a feel to see if I’m on the same page as the client. Marissa was so specific that we were on the same page from the get go.
We went with white walls (her idea!) to accomplish a clean, neutral look authentic to the Scandinavian vibe she was trying to create. From there, we looked for natural, light wood elements to soften up the white space and the black and gold accents we knew we wanted too add in.

Marissa chose a rug that was traditional in a Scandinavian pattern. The carpeting that was originally down did not fit the look we were going for, but we were able to put a beautiful throw rug over it that not only accented what was already there but contributed to our end goal.
Once we had the basics locked in, we were able to get a feel for exactly what decor we would need to finish out her vision.
We went with lots of fresh green plants (a mix of both real and faux), a beautiful cactus print Marissa had fallen in love with and some neutral linens to Hygge up the place. It truly feels like a place you can come cozy up and be pampered.
This is what we ended with:

Now our design meetings, 24/7 support and implementation was done completely via virtual design consulting. Two busy entrepreneurs cannot always meet as much as we would like and with her getting everything done in just over a month, we didn’t let a little thing like meeting in person to make decisions stop us.
Go check out this space for yourself! Your eyebrows, lashes and tan will thank you. I have gotten my lashes done by Marissa personally and cannot believe how gorgeous they turned out. I can’t wait for my all natural spray tan I plan to have right before my maternity pictures! She is a perfectionist at what she does and focuses on clean, cruelty free, low-toxicity beauty so you can feel good about what you’re putting on yourself. Please, don’t take my word for it, visit her yourself and definitely give her a follow on Instagram (@aurabeautyma) and/or Facebook so you can stay up to date on what she has to offer. I’m linking her website here so you know exactly where to find her and what kind of services she offers! Reach out, you will be excited you did!
